It's amazing what a kiss does to you.
Kisses, they involve nothing else but feelings. Deep, heartfelt feelings. When you kiss someone, you are at your most vulnerable state. You are opening yourself to the person you are kissing. You are letting them explore your undiscovered sides and most importantly, profound soul. You two become one. That is one of the the greatest forms of intimacy you can ever achieve. It is indeed, also, the greatest metaphor of intimacy - as you kiss, you breathe the other person in and out, the best and worst of them.
I had never thought that it could elicit such an enormous response in the aftermath of it, that might also have the ability to dwell deep inside your whole body and mind for a long, long time. The moment lingers on your mind for days, not letting you be free of it even just for a split second. All you have in your mind is the kiss and the person you kissed. Then comes the never ending butterflies, the little smile that brings the corners of your lips slightly upwards as the moment gets rewinded in your head, and the hasty facepalms you do as you think of what you could have done better when it happened. All at once... it all just becomes so addictive. It messes your head up big time.

The best part of any first-kiss is the lead-up to it,
the moment right before the lips touch.
It's like a big drumroll.
And I am addicted to the drumrolls.
